Chinese New Year Focus Week

During Chinese New Year focus week, the children learned all about China as a country and the customs associated with the celebration of the Chinese New Year. Activities included building their own Great Wall of China, role play in the EYFS Chinese Restaurant, learning about the Chinese zodiac, making lanterns and red envelopes, tasting Chinese food, doing some Chinese writing and maths, Chinese dragon dancing, practising with chopsticks and learning about Buddhism. The teachers really brought learning to life for the children and they thoroughly enjoyed all the experiences on offer.
