Protecting our Environment Week

During our environmental focus week, the children learned all about the things that are damaging our environment and what we can do to protect the planet for future generations. They found out about global warming, fossil fuels and the dangers to our oceans. The children experienced recycling and upcycling and took part in peaceful protests. We looked closely at our own immediate environment, undertaking traffic surveys and visiting Scotts Lane to look for signs of wildlife. We also took part in the Big Bee Challenge and even wrote to Boris Johnson! The children were really captivated by the week's activities and learned such a lot.
