Our House System
In September 2023 we launched our new House system. This promotes a sense of friendly competition that enhances children’s understanding of how to win and lose in the right way. Being part of a house also encourages a sense of belonging and provides our older pupils with the opportunity to support the younger ones, thereby learning the responsibility of becoming a good role model.
The children are all allocated to one of 4 houses, with siblings placed in the same house. Children gain house points for many different academic and wider social achievements, as well as taking part in various inter house competitions throughout the year.
Our Houses are named after the national flowers of the 4 countries of the United Kingdom: Thistle, Rose, Daffodil and Shamrock. Each house has their own motto and emblem as designed by the children:
Thistle-"Succeeding Together."
Rose-"We bloom as a bunch."
Daffodil-"Stand tall, be proud and shine."
Shamrock - "Grow and Thrive."
